Melting Gallery
Melting Gallery was inspired by installations like Olafur Eliasson’s Ice Watch and Jason deCaires' The Rising Tide. Both artists use their work to bring the global warming crisis into public discourse. The melting of glacial ice is difficult to grasp, its sheer scale and distant location make it feel abstract. To bridge this gap, Melting Gallery was created as an interactive experience where famous works of art dissolve in parallel with real footage of glacial ice melting, making the impact of climate change in 2024 more immediate and tangible.
Melting Gallery was made using Three.js and Blender. Use arrow keys to navigate and click to zoom.
